7/13 Announcements
- Welcome to Grace Christian Church! We are glad you can join us.
- Adult & High School Sunday School Class (at 9:30am) is canceled next Sunday, 7/20; it will resume on 7/27.
- The Youth Summer Mission Trip to New Taipei City, Taiwan is on 7/13–7/18 with 15 members in 2 teams. Team A is led by Judy Hsu & Yonggang Guan & the members are: Jerry Wang, Carey Hsu, Caleb Guan, Isaac Pang, Ethan Liu, & Ellie Li; Team B is led by Grace Yuan & Evan Garnier & the members are: Geoffrey Yuan, Eva Xie, Elliot Hsu, Nathaniel Ni, Olivia Ni. In addition, Pastor Arthur & Elder Eric Yuan will also come along the trip to assist. Please continue to keep the team in your prayers; pray for their health, safety, and ministry.
- GCC Summer Bible Camp is on 8/4–8/8. This year’s theme is “Upward Bound.” We need volunteers to help; if you are interested, please contact Harriet Lin (hjlintx@gmail.com). Please note the following dates for volunteer’s training: 7/20—EM volunteer’s training in Room 10, 12:45–1:45pm (mandatory for youth volunteers); 7/27—CM volunteer’s training in Room 10, 12:45–1:30pm
- This summer our church will partner with Western Fairfax Christian Ministries (WFCM) to hold a backpack drive to support students from low-income families at Virginia Run Elementary School. Backpacks must be brand new, sturdy, & contain a computer sleeve; the approximate cost should be $40. This is meant to be a family event. Parents may choose to bring in purchased backpacks and encourage your children to save their allowance & contribute to the backpack funds. The drive is from 7/20 to 8/7.
- Pastor Wang will begin a six-month sabbatical from July to December. He & Mrs. Wang will also visit and serve at Operation Dawn in Taiwan and Thailand in July. Please keep them in your prayers. Please also pray that God will guide and bless Pastor Wang in his future ministry direction.
- There will be no EM Bible Study & Prayer Fellowship in the remainder of July. It will resume on Wednesday, 8/6.
