  1. We plan to have a Baptism & Profession of Faith worship service on Sunday, 9/22.
  2. Our Church-wide Fall Picnic is on Saturday, 9/28, 10am-1:30pm at Frying Pan Park (2709 West Ox Rd, Herndon). We invite all to join and bring a dish to share. Invite your friends and make this an event for introducing others to our church. NOTE: There will also be a 3k (~2miles) run/walk competition; the on-site registration is at 10am and the race will start around 10:30am. 
  3. The new school year for Children’s Sunday School will begin on 10/6. Although the new school year has begun in late August for most public and private schools, all GCC Children’s Sunday School students should continue in their current classes until 10/6. The list of students for each class in the new school year is posted on the bulletin board outside of the church office. If you have any questions, please contact Harriet Lin.
  4. The 2024 nomination of new church officers is throughout the month of October (10/1–10/31). Nomination form is available at the church office. Please keep this in your prayers.
  5. In order to care for and serve our local community, GCC will support LL Coates Elementary School in their efforts to provide hygiene and health supplies for families and students who are in need. From 9/22–10/13, we will collect only new and unopened items such as: toothpaste, toothbrush, soap, shampoo, bodywash, washcloth, comb, diapers, laundry detergent, and also small packaged snacks. To donate, bring them to the church, and we will collect and deliver them.
  6. GCC is partnering with Fairfax County to hold a training course on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and how to stop the bleed at church on 10/13, 2-3:30pm and 11/2, 2-3:30pm. All who are interested, please visit the church office for registration.
  7. Chinese Christian Church of Virginia will hold a seminar called “One Generation to the Next” on 9/20 (Friday 7:30-9:00pm) and 9/21 (Saturday 9am-3:00pm). Come to be encouraged and trained on bringing up children of God. Lisa Updike, Director of Children’s Ministry at Covenant Presbyterian Church, Harrisonburg, VA. All parents, grandparents, and children/youth ministry workers are welcome. Please visit the church office for more information & registration.
  8. Weekly EM Bible Fellowship & Prayer is on Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm on site.All are invited. For more information, please contact Pastor Arthur <graphitude@gmail.com>.
